The checklist used for this study is associated with the list generated by Markland et al (1993) and Markland et all (1997). The items represent common items on the widely used and validated tool. (Exercise Motivations Inventory, EMI, Markland & Hard, 1993, EMI-2, Markland & Ingledew, 1997).
