Feeling uncomfortable about yourself?  About exercising? Are you injured? Ill? Pregnant?  Staring an physical activity, fitness or exercise program is a wonderful way to build self-confidence, self-esteem and self-efficacy.  It is something you CAN have control over.   

So many strategies! - find an enjoyable and comfortable activity and get busy!

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing along with proper foot attire.  Play the part.  Be the part.

Time to start those gardening and house renovations (painting, cleaning out the attic and garage).  Do a bit each day and soon you'll be envy of your local home and garden nosy neighbors.

Not comfortable working out in a crowded gym? Call up a friend and go for walk/talk, plop in an exercise video and play follow the leader.

Not comfortable working out alone?  Join a group exercise class like T'ai Chi, STEP, SPIN, Kickboxing, BodyPump. Strength in numbers!

Change your activities with the seasons.  Winter - ski.  Spring - walk.  Summer - swim.  Fall - garden
